Who we are

Kyle Fitchett trading as Coastal Car Detailing, a sole trader ("we"), is the data controller for personal data collected through coastalcardetailing.co.uk. Contact: [email protected].

What we collect

When you send an enquiry: your name, phone number, email, town and postcode, vehicle details, the service you want, your preferred timeframe, any notes and any photos you upload. We also record the date and time and your IP address, to prevent spam and abuse.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your details to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and arrange and carry out any booking. Our lawful basis is your consent, given by ticking the box on the form. We use IP addresses and submission times for security and spam prevention on the basis of our legitimate interests.

Who we share it with

Some work may be carried out by a trusted local detailing partner working with us. Where that is the case, we may share your enquiry and contact details with that partner so they can contact you about, quote for and carry out your job. Partners may only use your details for that purpose. Where a partner will carry out your work, we'll tell you before you book. We also use service providers who process data for us, such as our server host and email provider. We never sell your data or use it for marketing lists.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for 12 months, then delete them. Photos are deleted after 90 days.

Your rights

You can withdraw your consent at any time (this doesn't affect sharing that has already happened), and you have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to processing, and to restrict it. Email [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and collects aggregated visit statistics (such as page views and referring sites) without identifying you.
